Destiny Awake Inspirational
( a daily inspirational that helps you get to your destiny destination)
*It is not automatic* (Attracting divine resemblance)
And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
Sometimes God’s Promises to your life might in be coded, it is in fellowship with God that you decode mysteries of God for your life. Salvation can be traced to a day but becoming like Christ is not automatic.
You attract divine resemblance as you behold God day by day. Some couple gets to a point of physical resemblance because of closeness.
Yes, the bible calls us Kings and Priests (Revelation 1: 6) because that is the person that lives in us. But this is not automatic, yes, commitment and faithfulness to relationship with God makes this real in our lives.
God rewards our commitment Him with growth, revelation, understanding and authority. If a woman gives birth to a child and refuses to feed the child from the daily one, it is clear that she does not want the child to live.
It is the same experience, when we come to Christ and refuse to nurture the relationship.
There is a glory in relationship but it is not automatic, we need to nurture and develop our relationship with God. That is our responsibility.
The children of Eli carried great promises of Priesthood inheritance but they never found time for God. God had to deny them the continuation of that inheritance because they were not his friends (I Samuel 1).
God had great things to share but he found no man until a small boy made laying at the altar (waiting on God) a business.
God actually waited for the children of Eli but they refused to seek him. The relationship between God and Samuel started with showing of His displeasure toward Eli the Priest and his sons. God was reporting the elder and the big brothers to a little boy.
The secret is this, Samuel paid the price. Samuel started a relationship with God and nurtured it. Samuel laid at the altar always (I Samuel 3:3).
New Testament believers have more Spiritual advantage than Samuel because we are patterned to be His habitation. If there is no commitment to fellowship, there will be no relationship advancement.
Prayer: father, Make my life your habitation.
Song: this is your house, your home,
I welcome, Lord I welcome you.
